communication is essential to business making and it involves more than the ability to name your product, write a tag line or a press release. It's an intricate, rational and scalable effort and, let's face it, not anyone can do it.

Financial crisis and regular Romanians

One local TV station and one local research company have asked regular Romanians about the financial crisis. Result? After five months of everyone screaming their gutts out about the crisis, only 40% of Romanians are truly concerned and plan to reduce expenses. What is most striking is that only 7% are considering working more (!!!!!!).
I mean, really...I am speechless.

eu cand am aruncat problema crizei in birou au sarit toti sa ma calmeze ca nu e nicio criza si eu am iesit drept paranoica. :)

I hate answering with a question but did we ever have it good? I know everyone was buying, buying, buying. The truth is most were buying by credit, they weren't paying with their own money. Therefore no one really had it good.
Tricky, isn't it? :D

My payment covered all the monthly expenses, now it does't anynmore. How can I save money?

This disconnect between money and work and the lack of interest in making money blows my mind.

I had to work with somebody in Romania and I ended up explaining very clearly: "if you get us results on this ad campaign, we'll give you more money, it's within your power to make sure we get results. so will you help us get results?". The answer was, for me, chilling: "no, it's not my responsibility to get you results, I just sell ad impressions".

I just don't get why Romanians don't make this connection. Is it cultural? We don't need / care about money? There's no culture of money and we think we'll just get by just the same?

La cat a crescut cursul e bine daca reusesc sa isi plateasca ratele in continuare.
